What is medical grade in power strips?
Patient care areas demand equipment comply with stringent requirements in order to ensure safety and reliability. This includes stable electrical connections that only hospital grade power strips can offer. Power strips used in healthcare facilities are subject to additional safety requirements in Article 517 of the National Electric Code. AIV's medical grade PowerMATEs® meet the standards defined by the NEC and UL 1363A or UL 60601-1.
