The Nursing Skills Competency Course developed by Pentec Health Inc. entitled "Intrathecal Nurse Training Program" was recently accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The course incorporates didactic instruction with one-on-one field training to assure medical professionals' competency in intrathecal pump management.

The ANCC Accreditation Program is a global leader in healthcare credentialing. “Superior patient care is what has always set us apart. Our nurses just reached the next level. ANCC criteria are the gold standard in accreditation,” says Karen McHenry, RN, MSN, and Vice President of Nursing Services at Pentec Health. “We are just thrilled! It was an absolute team effort over the past two years from our entire department.”

Joseph Cosgrove, Chairman, President and CEO of Pentec Health said, “Nurses who complete the Intrathecal Nurse Training Program have an unmatched level of expertise, education and hands-on training. They are elite. Our patients deserve nothing less.”

The ANCC accredited competency courses validate a nurse’s overall proficiency on safety and quality in a clinical setting. Pentec Health worked with Widener University to achieve the accreditation.
