AIV Inc. highlighted the quality of its new Carefusion Alaris replacement door assembly and door latch with a contest at this spring’s MD Expo. The contest challenged biomeds and other conference attendees to guess how long it took to cycle the door and door latch one million times. The machine used for the actual million cycle test was on display at AIV’s booth, allowing attendees to see the machine running before calculating their guess.

The winner was Anthony Jerome, a biomed engineer from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey. His winning guess of 11 days, 12 hours was mere minutes from the correct running time of the machine. Mr. Jerome received a Kindle Fire for his winning guess.

As part of the closing events at this spring’s MD Expo, AIV Inc. sponsored the first-ever comedy night at the conference. Comedian Mark Unger performed on April 4, the last night of the convention. Over 150 people attended the festivities, which brought another MD Expo to a close.
