Rockdale Medical Center (RMC) has become the first healthcare facility in the metro Atlanta area to acquire AirStrip ONE, an advanced mobile patient monitoring program that allows physicians to keep track of patient data via their smartphones or tablets. Created by AirSrip™, a medical software solutions and services provider, the AirStrip ONE is noted as the industry’s first complete enterprise-wide mobile interoperability solution.

PeriCALM Perinatal SolutionAt Rockdale, the mobile software is currently being used in their labor and delivery and cardiology departments. It provides obstetricians with vital patient information such as fetal heart rate, maternal contraction patterns, vital signs and nursing notes from the hospital labor and delivery unit. With the AirStrip ONE Cardiology program, cardiologists at Rockdale are now able to communicate much faster with emergency medical technicians conducting ECG in the field.

The AirStrip ONE OB program adds an important layer of protection for patients and helps in looking after their comfort, safety and security.

"No matter the demands of the day or a physician's location, they can closely watch their patients in labor and be in a position to react immediately to a change in situation. That will contribute to improved patient care." Said Sarah Teach, hospital spokesperson for RMC.

The AirStrip ONE Cardiology program enables the cardiac care team at Rockdale to access ECGs on their mobile devices. Through its usage, confirmation, correction and influence on the diagnosis and treatment plan for heart attack patients can be addressed more quickly.

Both the AirStrip ONE OB and AirStrip ONE Cardiology programs are compatible with various mobile devices and have been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and support compliance with federal patient privacy regulations.
