PeriGen, Global leader in real-time clinical decision support applications for perinatal systems, announced the first integration of its PeriCALM perinatal system with Computer Programs and Systems, Inc.’s (CPSI) enterprise-wide electronic health record (EHR) at Taylor Regional Hospital. The interface officially went live in June and has since provided the 55-bed rural community hospital with access to consolidated, up-to-date inpatient and perinatal data. Because of this, quality, timeliness and safety of patient care across the facility has improved.

PeriCALM Perinatal Solution"The seamless integration of labor and delivery perinatal documentation with the CPSI EHR provides clinicians with the critical information they need to make faster and more informed decisions for mothers and newborns no matter where they are in the hospital," said Hollie Conner, R.N., nurse manager at Taylor Regional Hospital. "We were very impressed with the ease, speed and expertise PeriGen demonstrated in connecting the two disparate systems, which will dramatically improve workflow, clinician efficiency and patient care."

Months prior to the EHR integration, Taylor Regional Hospital’s labor and delivery unit had also gone live with the PeriCALM system. PeriGen'sPeriCALM suite comes equipped withPeriCALM Tracings, PeriCALM Patterns and PeriCALM Curve.  PeriCALM Patterns is the only fetal strip interpretation technology that is validated by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

These combined solutions help ensure OB/GYN clinicians deliver optimal care of mothers and their babies at the bedside. AIV offers accessories and repair services for fetal monitoring equipment.
